Hi! I’m Heather MacNair.
I am passionate about creating engaging and research-based experiences to help companies achieve their goals!
Education:
I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Queen’s University and a Certificate in User Experience Design from General Assembly. I am also in the process of obtaining my Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) designation through the OISE Adult Learning & Development Certificate program with the University of Toronto.
Skills & Experience:
I began my career as a licensed insurance broker for 5-years then discovered my passion for design. Over the past few years, I have worked with a variety of clients to design and develop user and learning experiences to improve client experiences and increase revenue.
I am proficient in a variety of tools and technologies including: LXPs, Sketch, Figma, InVision, Miro, Canva, Powtoons, iMovie, Veed, Google Suite, Asana, Monday, and Jira.
Approach & Philosophy:
My approach to learning and user experience design is to put research and data at the center of everything. I believe in taking a human-centred design approach, which involves understanding the needs, goals, and challenges of the people that will engage with the product, service, or program. By doing so, I create experiences that are not only effective but also intuitive and enjoyable.
Personal Interests:
In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog, skiing, yoga, and trying new restaurants. I also love to travel and experience new cultures, which often inspires my design work.
If you are interested in working with me, please do not hesitate to reach out. I’d love to hear more about your project or company to see how I can help.
